Kindergarten is a great time to introduce basic addition concepts to your students. Before beginning addition in your classroom, be sure your students have a solid understanding of number value and counting on. If you’ve never heard of double dice, they are exactly what they sound like; one die inside another die. The outer die is transparent so that you can see through it, to see the second die inside. Double dice add a little flair to your learning center games…there is something SO FUN about rolling a die inside a die.
Double Dice Addition BUMP!
We’ve designed two FREE Double Dice Addition games you can print and play with your students. Each game includes options for single or multiplayers.
Supplies: 1 double dice or 2 single dice. Building bricks or cubes (one color for each player).
Rules for 1-Player: Roll the dice. Add the two numbers and place a cube on the sum. Fill all the numbers and then begin again.
Rules for 2-Player: Roll the dice. Add the two numbers and place a cube on the sum. If that number has 1 cube, you can BUMP the other player off and place your own cube there. If that number has two cubes, you may not BUMP. It is the other player’s turn.
