Learning about life cycles can be such a fun unit for your Kindergarten classroom. Students of all ages are amazed to learn that animals develop and change, sometimes into completely different looking creatures all together! There are many fantastic, hands-on elements you can include in your lesson plan. For example, try adding a live butterfly garden or a tadpole to frog development kit to your classroom. This would provide a strong engagement rate when students can watch as the little critters reach each stage in development. We’ve done butterflies every year, releasing them after they emerge from their chrysalis.
